Does Medical Alarm Pro offer service in my area?
Medical Alarm Pro provides service nationwide. If you have landline phone service in your home, we can provide you with our emergency medical alarm service.
Who installs the Medical Alarm Pro system?
The Medical Alarm Pro system is very easy to install. You'll simply plug the main console into an electrical outlet and into a landline telephone jack. If you want, you can plug a telephone into the main console so that you'll have a working phone near the system. Other medical alarm companies often charge a substantial installation fee to install their system, but we do not. If you need assistance when installing your Medical Alarm Pro system, we have technical support available 24 hours a day, 365 days/year.
Can more than one person use the medical alarm system at a single location?
Yes. There is no additional charge in the monitoring fee if more than one person uses the system. However, if an additional necklace or wristband button is needed, there is a one-time fee of $33.95.
Where is your Call Center located?
The Medical Alarm Pro Call Center is located in the United States and is approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for home health care signaling.
Will my system work if I lose power at my house?
If you lose power, the Medical Alarm Pro main console will run on a battery back-up for up to 80 hours. When power is restored, the battery will recharge itself.
How do I know if my system is working properly?
Unlike other medical alarm companies, our system sends an automatic daily test to our call center. If we do not receive a good test signal from your main console, we will notify you or one of your responders. We also recommend that you push your necklace or wristband button once a week to test the whole system.
Is the necklace/wristband button waterproof?
Yes.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. If you no longer need or want the system, simply call us for instructions on how to return the system to us. When we receive it back in our office, your account will be closed.
What if I move or go on vacation? Can the Medical Alarm Pro system go with me?
Yes! Medical Alarm Pro offers nationwide service, so you can easily take the system with you anywhere in the United States, whether you move permanently or temporarily. Simply call us to change your address and responder information. You can do this as many times as needed at no additional charge.
How will emergency medical personnel access my home if the door is locked?
Medical Alarm Pro offers key storage lockboxes that will hold a spare key to your door(s). This will allow EMT's and responders access to your home safely without the need to force their way in. For your convenience, we offer both Door Knob and Wall Mount styles.
Will my monitoring fee ever increase?
No. We guarantee that your monthly, quarterly or annual monitoring fee will never increase.
